Our standard festoon belts are black, but in some cases a white cable is preferable; for example for a wedding or during Christmas.
The white festoon cable of 5 to 50 metres is ideal for adding atmosphere to your garden, party or restaurant. The beauty of the festoon cable with E27 sockets is that the product has changed very little over time. Our sturdy festoon cables are made of high quality rubber and contain a copper core of 2 x 1.5 mm². The festoon belts are suitable for outdoor use. Our festoon belts are plug and play, which means that the sockets, the plug, sealing rings, and the end cap come pre-assembled. Upon receiving these festoon cables, all that remains is to screw the bulbs (can be ordered separately) into their sockets.
The length of the cable, for example 10 metres, stands for the distance between the power plug and the end piece of the cable. In the case of the 10 metres festoon cables, there is a 1-metre distance between the power plug and the first socket. For these white festoon belts, we provide a choice between 2 or 3 sockets per metre. The amount of sockets will depend on the lighting effect you wish to create, as well as on the available budget. Most of our customers choose to have 2 sockets per metre.
The white festoon belt is not extendable. However, if you would like to extend this festoon belt, you can mount a female plug at the end. When connecting the festoon belts, make sure that the total wattage is never higher than 1500 watt and that the total length of the festoon belt is never longer than 300 metres.
Our festoon cables are compatible with LED bulbs, energy-saving bulbs and incandescent bulbs. The maximum wattage per socket is 15 watt.
When using our festoon cables outdoors, it is important that the bulbs (not included) are well protected against water damage. Therefore, please make sure that the bulbs are screwed incorrectly (see manual). The sealing ring will then prevent water from leaking into the socket.
