A recessed spotlight is built into a ceiling, cabinet or shelf. You only see the point where the light comes from; the luminaire is barely visible. They provide bright light without taking up much space. These spotlights are often used in kitchens and bathrooms. A recessed spotlight can also be used to highlight areas such as a bookcase or your (walk-in) wardrobe. Factors to consider are the recessed depth and desired energy consumption. Do you want to use the spotlights in a damp room such as a bathroom or kitchen? Choose a spotlight that has at least an IP44 protection rating.
