All our E27 LED bulbs have a virtually unbreakable polycarbonate cover. The LED lamps are energy efficient and have a long lifespan. Should one of our bulbs still happen to break, then they can be easily replaced. Our sturdy festoon belts are made of high quality rubber and contain a copper core of 2 x 1.5 mm².
If you wish to create soft mood lighting, it is best to choose 0.7 watt or 1 watt lights. For effective lighting, the 2 watt lamp is a suitable option. The 1.5 watt light is a nice middle way between atmospheric and effective lighting. If you want to be flexible in the light effect, we would like to refer you to our dimmable lamps. Light colour clarification
The light colour of white lamps is expressed in Kelvin. For the Kelvin spectrum goes that the lower the number, the warmer the colour. We call 2000 Kelvin (2000K) "extra" warm white. It is similar to the colour of candlelight, the light is a bit more yellow. 2650 Kelvin is the colour of the incandescent lamp, which is still warm white but has less of a yellow undertone.
Product dimensions
The length of the cable, for example 5 metres, stands for the distance between the power plug and the end piece of the cable. In the case of the 5 metres festoon belts there is a 50 cm distance between the power plug and the first socket. In the case of the 10 metres festoon belt this distance is 1 metre and for festoon belts between 15 and 100 metres this distance is 1.5 metres. If you find this distance to be too small, then you can always order an extension cord. Click here for detailed drawings of the festoon belts and all the measurements.
Number of Sockets
For these festoon belts, we provide a choice between 1, 2, 3 or 4 sockets per metre. The amount of sockets will depend on the lighting effect you wish to create, as well as on the available budget. Most of our customers choose to have 2 sockets per metre.
Easy installation
Upon receiving these festoon belts with warm white lights, all that remains is to screw the bulbs into their sockets. When using our festoon belts outdoors, it is important that the bulbs are well protected against water damage. Therefore, please make sure that the bulbs are screwed in correctly (see manual). The sealing ring will then prevent water from leaking into the socket. Our festoon belts are plug and play, which means that the sockets, the plug, sealing rings, and the end cap come pre-assembled.
Extendable and Non-Extendable Festoon Belts
On this page we provide both standard and extendable festoon belts. The extendable festoon belts can only be used with other extendable festoon belts in our range. This is because our extendable festoon belts come pre-fitted with a unique plug system (which is incompatible with standard plugs), allowing you to easily attach them to one another. If you would like to extend a standard festoon belt, then this can be accomplished by attaching a female plug to the original festoon belt. This is possible for festoon belts of any length. When connecting festoon belts, make sure that the total wattage is never higher than 1500 watt and that the total length of the festoon belt is never longer than 300 metres.
